Zoom in or out using Mouse wheel in Photos app
As mentioned earlier, by default, you can View the next or the previous item using the mouse wheel. Let’s assume that you do not want that feature and instead of that, you want to get the zoom in or zoom out functionality. It is possible to use the dedicated button in Photos app, or you can press Ctrl button along with the mouse wheel to do the same. If you do not prefer these methods, you can configure the app to Zoom in or out the photos, by simply using the mouse wheel. Open up the Photos app. You can do that from the Start Menu. Once the app is open, click on the three-dotted button visible on the top-right corner and select Settings.
Scroll down a bit until you get Mouse wheel label. By default, it should be set to View next or previous item. However, you can select the second option that says Zoom in or out.
Upon selecting this option, you would be able to use your mouse wheel to zoom in or out any picture without holding down the Ctrl button. If you are using a laptop, you should know that if View next or previous item is selected, you can use pinch-in or out to get the next or previous image. However, if you choose Zoom in or out, you can use pinch-in or out to zoom in or out images.
