The Search function in Gmail has a vital role in this task. The little feature in Gmail allows you to search for all messages from a particular sender and then delete them all at once without having to navigate from one page to another to delete them.

How to delete all emails from a particular sender in Gmail

There are two ways to search for it. You can either use the name or the email id. While the former works, but if you have similar names, the results will not be accurate. The best way to search and delete the emails would be to use the Email ID.

1] Search by Email ID

The straightforward way is to use the search box on the Gmail account. Type the email id, and then press the Enter key. It will list down all the emails which have this email in the conversation. So if it’s sent by the particular sender or the email is part of the email thread, then it will show up. To filter from a specific contact, you can click on the From button and fill in the email id. It will then further show emails sent by that person. You can then select the checkbox on top of everything, and it will select all the email id. If you get a suggestion where it asks to Select all conversations that match the search, then click on it, and all the emails will be selected. Click on the delete button, and all emails will be removed related to that person.

2] Create FIlter

if you need to do it every day, creating a filter is a better option, so you don’t have to repeat the steps every time.

Open Gmail and then click on the gear icon on top-right of the pageThen click on the See all settings icon to open the Settings pageSwitch to Filters and Blocked Address sectionClick on Create a new filter linkIt will open the Filter form where you can type in the email address, subject, has the word, etc., to make the filter more accurate and tailored to your needs. Finally, click on Create Filter link, and it will ask you what should happen next. You can choose to Delete or Apply a new label, mark it as necessary, and more. The best way going forward is to add a label. It will ensure you can find the email from the person and then choose to delete it. Also, select the checkbox that says apply the label to the already found email.

Post this, all you need to do is click on the label available at the left section or search with that, and you will see the results instantly. To delete, select the main checkbox and then choose to delete it.
